Book Review: "The Nazi, the Princess, and the Shoemaker, My Father's Holocaust Odyssey"
Martha Keltz recently had a book review published on the NOW I SEE... Book reviews in the spirit of Franz Brentano webpage, which is part of RS Archive.
The book reviewed is titled: The Nazi, the Princess, and the Shoemaker, My Father's Holocaust Odyssey, by Scott M. Neuman. In her note, Martha wrote:
It's one of the best books I've ever read, actually, and it has a great cover. But what is truly special and surprising is that, in the Epilogue, the author shares a vision which brings to mind the most significant image of Whitsun, and this vision is included at the end of the review, though best appreciated after reading the full review (which is one of the longest I've ever had to write - and the author had to approve the review). This book review is preceded by two others from the WWII time period: a biography of Dwight D. Eisenhower, and another Holocaust book, Child of the Forest, supported by the National Holocaust Memorial Museum. Please don't hesitate to share these reviews with others. Thanks.
